20" Double Line Stops- Norwich, CT February 17, 2010 
Norwich, CT: The Jack Farrelly Service Department installed a 20" Double Line Stop on a section of a sewer force main that was to be replaced. In order to keep the city's system running smoothly, Line Stop cylinders with integrated 16" by-pass outlets were used for the contractor (King Construction) to tie the temporary 16" bypass line into. The Line Stops were in the 20" line for about 4 weeks and sewage was running through our 16" by-pass the whole time trouble free. Once the new section was installed the existing 20" force sewer main was then cut and tied into the new section and the Line Stops were removed.
